Terms of Participation

These Terms of Participation set out how we offer our classes and how we can work together in a safe, respectful way. By registering, booking or participating in any class, workshop or programme with Kalpa Classical Yoga, you confirm that you agree to these terms.

Last updated: April 2026.

1. Who We Are

Kalpa Classical Yoga offers traditional Hatha Yoga and related practices, structured by Sadhguru, to support your health and wellbeing. Our teachers are trained in India at the Isha Yoga Center and follow authentic yogic methods with care and integrity. We aim to provide a calm, respectful and inclusive space for everyone.

2. Eligibility to Participate

  • You need to be at least 18 years old to book for yourself.

  • Participants aged 7–17 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

  • You are responsible for making sure that yoga is suitable for your current health and fitness level.

If you are unsure whether you can safely take part, please speak with your doctor before joining.

3. Health and Safety

Yogic practices involve physical movement that may sometimes be challenging. To help keep you safe:

  • Please share any relevant health conditions, injuries, surgeries, pregnancy or other concerns in advance of the class.

  • Always listen to your body and practise with awareness and care.

  • You may rest or stop at any time if you feel pain, dizziness or discomfort.

  • Our teachers guide through clear instructions and demonstrations rather than physical adjustments.

  • You agree to consult a medical professional if you have any health concerns.

By participating, you confirm that you are physically able to participate, understand that yoga is not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis or treatment and take full responsibility for the result. For online sessions, you also agree to practise in a safe, clear space, use appropriate flooring or a yoga mat, ensure your environment is suitable for movement and take responsibility for your own safety during the session.

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, the organiser is not liable for injuries, physical discomfort, accidents, loss or damage arising from participation in our sessions. Participants aged 7–17 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to attend. The parent or guardian accepts responsibility for the young person's participation, health and safety during the session.

4. Online and In‑Person Sessions

We offer both in‑person and online sessions (for example, via Zoom):

  • For online classes, you are responsible for having a safe practice space and stable internet connection.

  • For in‑person classes, please follow the venue’s safety rules and any guidance given by our teachers.

5. Bookings, Cancellations and Changes

Our aim is to be fair and clear.

Bookings

  • Your place is confirmed once booking and payment (where applicable) are completed.

  • If you are unable to attend, please contact us as soon as possible.

  • In exceptional circumstances, you may request to transfer your booking to the same session or programme within one year, subject to availability.

Cancellations

  • More than 14 days before the session or programme: full refund minus a 10% administration fee.

  • 7–14 days before the session or programme: 50% refund minus a 10% administration fee.

  • Within 7 days of the session or programme: no refund, except in exceptional circumstances.

Changes

6. Payments and Pricing

All prices are shown in GBP unless stated otherwise. Payment is usually taken at the time of booking, using the payment options shown on our site. We may update our prices from time to time. Any changes will not affect bookings that have already been confirmed.

7. Discounts and Subsidies

We aim to make our offerings as accessible as possible. From time to time, we may offer discounts or subsidies, for example for students, teachers, school staff or people under 25. Details of any current discounts, eligibility and how to apply will be shared by email, on our website or at the time of booking. Discounts and subsidies are always subject to availability and may change or end at any time.

8. Conduct and Respect

We are committed to creating a safe, respectful and supportive environment.

By joining our classes, you agree to:

• Treat teachers and other participants with kindness and respect.

• Arrive on time and follow the guidance given in class.

• Use language and behaviour that is considerate and non‑disruptive.

If a participant arrives late, due to the integrity of the practices and to avoid misunderstanding, distortion or injury, they may not be able to join that session or programme. Where possible, we will offer an alternative date or another suitable option.

We may ask anyone whose behaviour is unsafe, disrespectful or harmful to others to leave the session. In serious cases, we may also need to cancel future bookings.

9. Photography and Recordings

Sometimes we may take photos or short video clips of classes or events to share on our website or social media. If we plan to do this, we will let you know in advance. You can always tell us if you do not want to appear in any photos or recordings and we will respect this. Participants are not permitted to take, record or share photos or videos of classes or events without our prior permission.

10. Data and Privacy

We collect and use your personal information only as needed to run our classes, manage bookings and stay in contact with you. For full details of how we handle your data, please read our Privacy Policy on our website. By booking with us, you agree that we may contact you with important information about your classes, bookings or changes to our services.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Participation from time to time, for example if our services change or if the law requires it. When we make important changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. By continuing to book or attend classes after any changes, you are confirming that you accept the updated terms.
